Thank you for taking the time to write to us here at Australia Zoo. We would like to sincerely thank you for your kind words and support. The Irwin family and Australia Zoo crew have received enormous amounts of support from all over the world, with millions of heartfelt tributes and many supporting messages such as yours.

The Irwin and Australia Zoo family truly appreciate being in your thoughts as gestures like yours offering words of support, encourage us all in carrying on the aspirations of Steve and his dream for a global consciousness for worldwide animal conservation.

Steve lived in his khakis and spent most of his time darting the bite of a venomous snake, wrestling a nine foot croc, or anything else that was, well, simply out of the ordinary. He had an infectious personality that was saturated with enthusiasm, and a love for life and wildlife alike.

Little would he know it, but his “out there” persona and “can do” attitude would have him stirring a crowd where ever he went. As the host of the Crocodile Hunter documentaries, Steve wowed audiences by the millions. He crouched in scorching heat and sloshed in thick mud for one purpose: because he was passionate and committed to the survival of all wildlife and their environment. A cut cheek, grazed knee or sliced hand would not slow him down or prevent him from saving as many animals as possible. Especially the crocs, because like Steve used to say: “Crocs rule!”

To celebrate the life of this action packed wildlife warrior, “Steve Irwin Day” will be held on November 15th. It will be a day for remembering the one and only Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. The day will represent the many things Steve was passionate about; family, wildlife and FUN. You can get involved in a number of ways including visiting Australia Zoo for an action packed day, having a Backyard Campout or donning your khakis for Khaki Day.
All proceeds raised from these activities will go to Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Worldwide

Soy Soledad desde Viña del mar Chile, quiero expresar y compartir mis condolencias con toda la comunidad y la familia Irwin, porque este dia 4 sep 2006 quedo marcado en el corazón de todos los seguidores del gran conservacionista Steve Irwin, porque fue un gran aporte para la vida animal en todo el mundo, por enseñarnos la importancia de cuidar y proteger la vida animal y natural, por eso mantendremos vivo el legado de Steve, siempre.
